As needed, outside crushing companies are hired to come in and produce our crushed gravel and stone. Mathewson Companies is also one of the few New Hampshire companies to recycle asphalt. Old asphalt is crushed and mixed with gravel and other recycled products (concrete) to produce a new product called Pavepack which is used for sub-base material on paving jobs or in steep terrain where erosion is a repetitive problem.

The pictures below show the process used to recycle old asphalt and produce Pavepack at the Hancock location.
